Help with the C-O-G-S app
Most problems are fastest to solve through your own organization. Accounts, permissions and anything about a particular order or case are administered by the office you work for, not by us. If you are not sure who that is, it is whoever set your account up.
How-to videos
Short recordings of the real app, captioned so they work with the sound off. Everything in them — surgeons, hospitals, patients — is invented. On a phone you get the phone-screen version.
Signing in
C-O-G-S sends a six-digit code to your work email. Enter it in the app. There is no password to remember.
- The code has not arrived. Check junk mail first. Codes can take a minute. There is a short wait between requests, so asking twice in a row will not make one arrive faster.
- The code says it is invalid. Codes last an hour and work once. Ask for a new one.
- It says you have no organization. Your email has to match the one your office entered. Ask them to check it for a typo.
On your phone
C-O-G-S works in any modern browser, and installs as an app on iPhone and Android.
- iPhone, without the app: open c-o-g-s.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Camera will not open: iOS Settings → C-O-G-S → Camera, or in Safari, Settings → Safari → Camera.
- Working offline: orders you have already captured are held on the phone and send themselves when you are back on a signal. You do not need to do anything.
Patient information
The patient label is cut out of a charge sheet into a separate protected record and whited out of any copy sent outside your organization. Who may see a patient identifier is decided by your organization's administrator.
If you are a patient with a question about your information, please contact the hospital, surgeon or device company involved in your procedure — we hold records on their behalf and cannot identify you directly.
Deleting your account
In the app, open your profile from the bottom of the menu and choose Delete my account. This removes your sign-in and closes your access. Records your organization is required to keep — orders, custody signatures, audit history — remain theirs and are not deleted, which is what the law and your organization's own obligations require.
